In this release we have attempted to update our unofficial translations with those of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. That means a lot of monster names and item names have changed (yes, even Nibelsnarf), which'll probably throw you off for a little while. You'll get used to it!
Incidentally, if you really like Monster Hunter Portable 3rd, you really should buy that -- it's the closest we'll ever get to having an officially translated Portable 3rd.
All that said, we're not quite done here. We have a new version of the PSP patch available, and now, for the first time, PS3 support!
Before you get too excited, you need a PS3 with custom firmware to be able to use this patch. That also pretty much means you won't be able to go online (adhocParty) with it. I would be very, very careful about taking a compromised PS3 online -- you won't be able to blame us if your SEN account gets locked down because of hacking your PS3. Unfortunately there's no way we can get around that requirement. That said, if you're playing the game solo on PS3, this should be perfect for you. :)
I'd like to thank the people of the community who have volunteered their spare time in to making this translation patch the best it can be. People like Pdelta, whom has put in a phenomenal amount of effort in to bringing the MH3U official translations to MHP3rd; Kurenai Yakedo, our resident translator who puts quality ahead of everything; Bgnome, whose tenacity is pretty much the only reason we can now translate the PS3 version; and damimavpl, whom keeps bothering me when something changes in the project, centres these posts and adds images :P (oh, and also founded TMO. Just sayin'); and apologies to anyone I've neglected to mention. Without people like these, the patch would suck, and probably not even exist!
Oh, lastly, we'll have instructions for how to apply the PS3 patch up soon. Please bear with us.
Alright, enough yakking; time to get my download on.

Patch
You like videos, right? Bgnome prepared this great video to take you through the process of patching MHP3rd. Assumes your PS3 is already running custom firmware; if it isn't, you'll need to find another guide. Don't ask here; most of us don't have PS3s with custom firmware!DLC
- Download the DLC
- Extract the contents to a USB drive under PSP\SAVEDATA\ULJM05800QST
- Plug the USB drive in to the PS3 and use the "Saved Data Utility (minis / PSP Remaster / PSP)" to copy the DLC save.
